A small, immersive R+ clinic designed for thoughtful equestrians who value clarity, communication, and ethical training. Intentionally limited in size to support meaningful progress for both horses and humans.

This weekend is for thoughtful equestrians who are committed to ethical, effective R+ work and want to go deeper.
It’s for you if you:
- Care deeply about your horse’s emotional experience
• Want greater clarity and mutual communication
• Are ready to refine the details
• Value a small, supportive, like-minded learning environment
This is not a large, fast-paced clinic. It’s intentionally small and focused — by popular request from past attendees who love this format.
What to Expect?
This clinic has an immersive feel. We’ll share some meals, conversations, and meaningful time together beyond lesson hours.
There will be abundant hands-on horse time. It’s an intimate group experience where everyone can be up close and actively involved, if they choose.
Focus Areas

Melissa will work with you and your horse right where you are whether it's basics or advanced level behaviors, both on the ground and under saddle or performance related. Depending on the needs of the horses and humans present, group activities topics may include:
• Emotional attunement and regulation
• Creating anchor behaviors and consent cues
• Fading food and building alternative reinforcers
• Cooperative care troubleshooting
• Groundwork and under-saddle clarity
Format & Flow
Friday
Arrival Friday afternoon
Evening connection, discussion, and learning activities

Saturday & Sunday
Individualized lessons

Accommodations
Overnight paddocks and limited camping may be available for those traveling in.
On farm accommodations include camper hook ups, tent camping areas with access to shower and kitchenette, bedroom with shared shower and kitchenette and tiny home rental. Contact 919.471.5445 for availability and info.
Investment
Early Bird: $589
Available through February 29th — or until the clinic fills.
Regular Tuition: $625
